Roots and Recipes: Learning from Indigenous Cuisine and Language, with Irwin Sánchez, indigenous chef and Nahua poet
Come to cook, eat, and learn! James Beard award-winning indigenous chef and Nahua poet Irwin Sánchez is coming to Freeman Dining Hall’s Teaching Kitchen to teach how to prepare a wonderful autumn stew, and then to share a presentation and feast, and his original poems in the Nahua language, with the Montclair community!

12-1pm: Feast & poetry
Open to all! The usual $15 entrance fee for Freeman covers this event; there are also subsidized and free tickets available for those who need some help!
